Meet the Chief Oddball...
Elizabeth Rudolph, Founder
Our Founder and Chief Oddball is Elizabeth Rudolph. She has been crocheting for 15 years and knitting for 12. She recently started weaving as well...in case she needed another hobby. Her vision to produce completely local, truly special, single-breed, 100% midwestern yarns started in 2016, and now in 2020 we’re expanding to bring our totally unique yarns to fiber artists around the world through the magic of the internet. We hope you enjoy working with our yarn as much as we enjoy producing it.
One of a Kind Yarn
Everything we do is small batch. That means that each skein will be completely unique in color, texture and weight. We may not be able to exactly replicate the yarn you received in previous order but I am happy to work with you to find the right yarn for your special project.
My Other Work
I am an active performer and composer in the Chicago classical music community. I perform regularly with Chicago arts groups including VOX3 Collective, Floating Opera Company, Opera On Tap Chicago, New Moon Opera, and Transgressive Theater-Opera.
I have degrees in vocal performance and music composition from St. Olaf College and attended Roosevelt University's Chicago College of the Performing Arts where I was a finalist in CCPA's annual concerto competition. My compositions have been performed and recorded by VOX3 Collective, Opera on Tap Chicago. In 2019 my opera Imogen, was performed in workshop with New Moon Opera. You can read more about that project here.
